Morning: Pyramids of Giza

Morning: Garbage City (Mokattam)

Despite its name, Garbage City is a thriving, self-sustained area with a fascinating history and unique culture. Learn about the Zabbaleen, the residents of this area, who have been recycling Cairo’s garbage for decades. You’ll have the chance to observe how they process waste and make use of materials that would otherwise be discarded.
Afternoon: City of the Dead (Cairo Necropolis)
- After exploring Garbage City, head to the City of the Dead, an ancient Islamic necropolis that is home to both the dead and the living. The area is a maze of tombs and mausoleums, some of which are used as homes by Cairo’s poorest residents. Your female Cairo guide will offer a deep understanding of the area's history, the fascinating architecture of the tombs, and the unique lifestyle of those who reside here.
Late Afternoon: Return to Your Hotel
- After a day of exploration, return to your hotel to relax and reflect on the diverse experiences you've had during your Cairo 3-day city break.
Very part of this tour was excellent. Our room was lovely – larger than expected. We had a balcony which I really enjoyed.
